SELECTED PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE With a B.A.Sc. in Civil Engineering and an M.A.Sc. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Toronto, Canada and teaching assistant and instructor experience in municipal engineering and municipal and rural sanitation respectively, Mr. Budd has a wealth of theoretical knowledge. In the 20 years he has worked in the industrial sector, he has gained a great deal of practical knowledge and technical expertise in the pre-engineering, design, installation and operation of wastewater treatment equipment.
Mr. Budd has served as Project Manager for a number of wastewater treatment projects, involving various unit processes, in both the physical/chemical and biological fields. Projects have included the design and purchasing, field and start-up supervision, of full sewage treatment systems, package pumping stations, circular steel contact stabilization plants and aerated facultative lagoon processes. Plants have ranged in size from smaller commercial applications employing his expertise in sub-surface discharge through to 16 million gallon per day aerated facultative lagoon processes. WASTEWATER TREATMENT OPERATIONS Mr. Budd spearheaded a contract for the operations of package wastewater treatment systems for highway service centres for Imperial Esso Canada in the Ontario region, providing not only trouble-shooting and wastewater treatment plant operation and recommendations in an effort to improve effluent quality and meet recommended guidelines, but providing the hands-on interaction with contract personnel to perform the required process and mechanical modifications, to meet those objectives. IN-HOUSE CONSULTATION Mr. Budd is engaged daily in providing in-house consultation to technical staff of the Canadian operation on matters pertaining to his fields of expertise; which include: liaisons with customers; preparation of technical proposals; and interaction with technical sales staff on suggested treatment options and pricing levels.
